Assessment & Examination Policy

1. Purpose
This policy explains how assessments and examinations are conducted to ensure all learners are assessed fairly, consistently and in accordance with Academy and awarding organisation requirements.

2. Assessment Requirements
To successfully complete your qualification, you may be required to complete online learning, knowledge checks, practical assessments, portfolio evidence and case studies, depending on your chosen course.

3. Theory Examinations
Where applicable, theory examinations must be completed under the conditions set by the awarding organisation. Learners must follow all instructions provided by the Academy during the examination process.

4. Practical Assessments
Practical assessments are designed to demonstrate your knowledge, technical ability and professional standards. You will be assessed against the qualification criteria and must carry out treatments safely, competently and professionally.

5. Academic Integrity
All assessments, examinations, coursework and portfolio evidence must be your own work. Cheating, plagiarism, collusion or falsifying evidence is considered malpractice and may result in disciplinary action or disqualification.

6. Assessment Results
Assessment decisions are subject to internal quality assurance and, where applicable, external quality assurance by the awarding organisation. Certificates can only be claimed once all qualification requirements have been successfully completed.

7. Appeals
If you believe an assessment decision is incorrect, you have the right to appeal. Appeals should be submitted in accordance with the Academy's Appeals Policy.

8. Acceptance
By enrolling on this course, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to comply with the Assessment & Examination Policy throughout your qualification.
